My Little Train Engineer

Ezra and I took the boys (I'm just getting used to saying boyS-plural!) to the park recently on a beautiful summer evening. The park has an old caboose for kids to play on and I was pleased to see it had just received a fresh coat of paint! Austin wore his train engineer outfit for the occasion. He has a new bedspread in his room with trains on it, so I plan to hang a nice large gallery-wrapped canvas of this image on his wall to match!




For some reason, this image reminds me of pictures I've seen of me when I was a kid (minus the costume!).

Daddy can always elicit the good smiles!

This image is done with a vintage finish. This face that Austin makes always cracks up his Auntie J!!!

And lastly, here's one without the train getup.

Micah was asleep most of the evening, and when he was awake, he wasn't feeling particularly photogenic...so no pictures of him this evening!

Micah is here!!!

Our second boy was born on June 28th, 2008. Micah Corbin Amiss is now 6 weeks old. We are just so blessed to have him make it to 37 gestational weeks (unlike his big brother did). We are all doing very well although we're TIRED! I've forgotten what it's like to be so sleep-deprived. Austin is just the best big brother ever. He is ever patient and gentle and just plain sweet with Micah. Just wait until Micah is old enough to get into Austin's stuff. Ha! I've posted some pictures of our new little baby boy...I had a hard time narrowing them down! Some were taken at the hospital and the others when Micah was 6 days old.
