Maternity

This is a dear friend of mine, and I couldn't be happier for her and her husband! I recently went to VA beach for her baby shower and we took these maternity pics in the hotel before joining another good friend for a much needed girls' night! Ezra, the ever wonderful dad, took the boys to a children's museum with his cousin and her girls. What a nice weekend!

Christmas Day at the Amiss House

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and is off to a good start of a fresh new year! Here are a few pictures of my boys on Christmas day. As you can see, Austin got some policeman gear, which he wears with pride and self-bestowed authority! He seems to be quite interested in jail these days....hmmm. And I got a new lens which I had a blast playing with. It's got a nice wide aperature, but no zoom, which I'm having a hard time adjusting to!


Micah was the last one to wake up on Christmas morning!

Austin spent the afternoon trying to "trap up" anyone who would sit still.

Santa Micah

Here is Micah in his santa hat. I can't belive he's almost 6 months old! The image in the middle cracks me up...that's what he looks like most of the time. I'm sure we'll be seeing a tooth appear soon! Be sure to click on the image to enlarge.

Brrr! (Sneak Peek)

I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving! We had a grand time at Ezra's folk's house, where I attempted to photograph the 5 little cousins together! I'll post those soon. For now, I have another sneak peek of a family who have been waiting so patiently.

One of the things that I love about my job is seeing kids grow up! I've photographed this family a number of times, and man, it doesn't seem very long ago that "Miss A." was just a little bitty baby. Now they have a new addition. A very cute and smiley addition. Mr J. seems like such a great big brother and is so grown-up for a pre-schooler!

It was so cold outside when we took these images. The kids were troopers! So were Mom and Dad. ;)

Holiday deadlines are looming! I am now booked on Holiday sessions. If you procrastinated and are totally bummed, contact me and I may be able to squeeze in one more session! To ensure delivery of portraits by the 17th of December, all orders must be placed by Dec. 2. If you are ordering cards, remember to allow time for you to mail them, and order accordingly.

Catherine Amiss Photography will be CLOSED during January of 2009. I will reopen Feb. 2, and just a heads up that I will be restructuring prices for next year.
